Outreach Services
Home Visits
We offer in home visits to identify, assess and work on any challenges that your child and family are experiencing at home. This can include working on behaviours that challenge, self care skills, mealtimes, executive functioning skills, fine motor skills, sensory processing difficulties, routines and play skills.
KNOT understands the importance of working with your child in the environments in which they spend their time. We find working in the space where the issues present (outreach model) is optimal to achieve the best outcomes for you and your child.
School and Kindergarten Visits
During our school\kindergarten visits we work hard to educate and support your child in achieving their identified goals. We understand that children present differently in different environments, which is why working with them in their classroom is best practice in helping them to be successful in reaching their goals. Working in the school or kindergarten setting allows us to observe and gather valuable information to assist us in providing recommendations and strategies to the team. We also support the educators to better understand your child and help them to provide a learning environment that favours your child’s unique needs. This service can include attending meetings with you and the teachers\coordinators and providing written reports and recommendations where needed.
